Irrigation Technician

Being a Salesperson at Hoffman Landscapes is a fast pace exciting career. You will be responsible for fostering new sales leads and challenged to create design solutions while meeting your client’s investment expectations. You will help to develop an execution strategy all with the support and resources of Hoffman’s corporate structure.

• Overseeing new business development, generating new sales leads, attending sales calls and assisting with client requests as necessary
• Client meetings and Design lead qualification
• Site visits and field inventory as needed to develop design solutions
• Driving sales process by utilizing in house draftsmen and project estimator
• Design development
• Design presentations
• Representation at municipal meetings, etc.
• Municipal permit applications, etc.
• Sales contract creation and negotiating
• Construction documentation and budgetary outlines for production team
• On site construction supervision at critical points during execution
• Representing Company, interfacing and building relationships with owners, property managers, and subcontractors
• Scheduling and making regular visits to meet customers; reviewing quality and production
• Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting Company culture
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of residential design experience
• Sales experience in a profitable construction environment
• Excellent design and presentation skills
• Prefer Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture
• Proficient with computer software programs including AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch up, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong work ethic

You will responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems meeting company and industry standards for quality and efficiency.
The essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned.
Activate and deactivate irrigation systems according to seasonal priorities or pre-established schedules.
Repair and troubleshoot irrigation systems as required.
Layout and install new or renovated irrigation systems.
Purchase parts required to repair irrigation systems maintaining accurate inventory and strict cost control.
Submit to Supervisor thorough and accurate billing information for chargeable work performed.
Promote and maintain safe working conditions.
Program irrigation clocks to ensure proper watering of landscapes maintained.
Ensure proper use, care, and inventory of company vehicle, equipment and tools assigned.
Gather and update historical data for each account regarding water sources, point of connection and mainline location, services performed, and parts installed.
Snow Plow during winter season
Requirements and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Candidate must have experience with irrigation systems.
Snow Plow experience a plus
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

At Hoffman Landscapes, we specialize in residential landscapes of distinction. Your job as a project director will be to develop new business and drive sustainable growth for our Wilton, CT branch office.
Your responsibility as Perennial Gardner will be to manage and maintain the perennial gardens and shrubs for our discriminating clientele. Duties will include selecting, planting, and maintaining extensive perennial gardens throughout Fairfield, Litchfield and Westchester Counties.
Work hours are flexible and can be built around your summer schedule. On certain projects, you will be working in conjunction with our installation teams to create the ‘ideal' landscape.
All candidates are required to be self-motivated, solution oriented and have a positive attitude. In depth knowledge of perennials, annuals and ornamental shrubs is required. Certification as a Master Gardener, with the NYBG or other horticulture training programs is a plus.
