Brian Cossari Named Branch Director at Kent Greenhouse & Gardens

Kent, CT – Renowned landscape architect Brian Cossari has accepted a new position at the helm of Kent Greenhouse & Gardens, bringing with him over 20 years of industry experience. This move fills the vacancy left by the retirement of the company’s original owner.

Kent Greenhouse & Gardens recently announced it had been acquired by Wilton-based Hoffman Landscapes, where Cossari began his career as a college intern. Licensed to practice landscape architecture in CT and NY since 2001, Cossari has won over a dozen national awards for his designs. During his tenure at Hoffman, the University of Massachusetts alum helped to establish the company’s design/build branch and develop it to the powerhouse it is today, well-known and trusted by local homeowners and industry professionals alike.

“I welcome this new and exciting challenge to grow our property care services and to be the first in the Litchfield County area to offer a complete design/build experience – all while keeping the personal customer relationships Kent Greenhouse is known for,” said Cossari. “We are fortunate be in an industry that offers tremendous growth potential and I consider myself lucky to work alongside the expert team here.”

In addition to his work at Hoffman, Cossari has been an active volunteer with CT chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) since 2003, holding a variety of roles ranging from member at large to residential education program chair. Cossari looks forward to offering Kent’s outdoor construction and property care services to his peers at CTASLA.

A resident of Gaylordsville for the last 17 years, Cossari likes to spend his free time on Candlewood Lake with his family and can often be found running on the Appalachian Trail with his faithful canine sidekick, Millie.

Hoffman Landscapes, new owner of Kent Greenhouse & Gardens, is Fairfield County’s premier residential property maintenance and design/build firm. They have already introduced their full-service property care service to existing Kent Greenhouse clients and continue to build their presence in the area. As part of Cossari’s transition, Hoffman has promoted Steve Dumark to director of the Wilton branch’s design/build department.
